Carnegie Hall - Ecce Cor Meum
Click pictures for full album
The American Boychoir performed in the North American premier of Paul McCartney’s fourth classical recording Ecce Cor Meum (Behold My Heart) on November 14th, at Carnegie Hall. The four movement work for chorus and orchestra was performed by Kate Royal soprano, The Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Concert Chorale of New York and The American Boychoir. The conductor was Gavin Greenaway. The American Boychoir was chosen to perform because their rich sound and purity of voice most closely matched the vision of the composer. Sir Paul was so impressed with the boys at rehearsal, that he asked them to sing more of the program than was originally planned.
