About the Alumni Chorus

The American Boychoir Alumni Chorus, under the direction of James Litton, was created for alumni of the Columbus/American Boychoir who desire the opportunity to sing at the same level of excellence as when they were young choristers.  Since its creation 3 years ago, the membership has swelled to over forty singers spanning seven decades, including some who travel over 300 miles to participate in rehearsals and performances.

The Alumni Chorus performs publicly in the Princeton, New Jersey area, including an annual benefit concert in collaboration with The American Boychoir.  It is featured on the newest recording of the Boychoir, Harmony: American Songs of Faith.  In Jun of 2008 The Alumni Chorus participated in The 2nd International Boys and Men's Choral Festival which marks its first international appearance.

What members are saying...

It's a wonderful opportunity to make
music with fellow alumni.
-Ben Eley '92

It is truly one of the most rewarding
things I have done especially since
after graduation I thought it was all
over. I'm really glad it's not!

-Michael Holm '03

The continued professional atmosphere
of music restores my faith in the
importance of properly teaching the
male voice.
-Wallace Tunison '69

A three hour drive once a month is a
pittance pay for the chance to be part of
such a wonderful organization again.

-Benjamin Parks '88

It allows us to showcase our childhood
training, for ourselves and our audience,
and demonstrate that it stays with us
throughout our lives.
