17th National Choral Conference

Bodysinging: Developing Artistry in Choral Performance
The 17th National Choral Conference will be held in Princeton on September 27-29, 2012 as part of our 75th anniversary. Join Fernando Malvar-Ruiz, Litton-Lodal Music Director, and Fred Meads, Director of Vocal Studies, as well as guest clinicians Dr. Anton Armstrong and Dr. Therees Hibbard in this intensive choral workshop with The American Boychoir. During this three-day seminar for music teachers and choral conductors, we will explore Bodysinging, as developed by Dr. Hibbard, as part of a comprehensive choral music experience. This musical philosophy celebrates music as an intuitive and visceral experience for musicians of every experience and ability.
- An intensive choral workshop for music teachers and conductors of children's, girls' and boys' choirs.
- A national conversation of school and community chorus professionals to explore solutions for promoting and preserving the arts for children today and for future generations.
- GRADUATE CREDIT AVAILABLE: The American Boychoir School is pleased to offer continuing education credit towards graduate study for attending the National Choral Conference, in cooperation with Westminster Choir College of Rider University. Students may receive one (600-level) graduate credit.
- In response to the recent economic challenges and to comments from past attendees, we are pleased to keep registration cost for the 17th National Choral Conference at $350. In addition, the music packets will be complimentary to NCC registrants.
