Originally from New York and New Jersey, Dan Shapiro is an artist, filmmaker, musician, writer and producer.
An alumnus of the American Boychoir School (Class of 1994), Dan traded in classical music for rock and roll just before the turn of the century, releasing records with a number of groups, performing on stages, large and small, around the U.S., China, and South America.
His written work, covering sports and culture, has appeared in CNN, VICE, the Athletic, and the New York Daily News. He has also produced and edited films and docuseries for Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Bravo. Outside of media and the arts, Dan has worked directly with the Chinese Ministry of Sport, promoting MMA fights across mainland China.
He currently resides in Los Angeles, where he has returned to his choral roots, performing with the Apollo Men's Chorus at the LA Athletic Club.
